About C- AMP half-life in cells

Hello,

Can any body say what is half life of the c-AMP in Animal cells??

Can’t say exactly but I read long back that its in order of mili seconds to seconds. The variation is dependent on the cell types and physiological response.

Its about 30 seconds in the resting state but in cells like Cardiac Muscles, it may be even lesser. This is dependent upon the Phosphodiesterase activity in the cells. In cardiac Cells, phosphodiesterase activity is very high.
