Need help with calculations

How is 1mg / ml = 1000ppm??? How is the calculation of ppm arrived at in weight/ volume?

Nishan Hopefully, you already found answer for this… A concentration of 1 mg/ml is equivalent to 1000 ppm. This is because ppm (parts per million) represents a ratio of one part of a substance to one million parts of a solution, and in dilute aqueous solutions, 1 mg/L is equivalent to 1 ppm. Therefore, since 1 ml is equal to 1/1000 of a liter, 1 mg/ml is equal to 1000 mg/L, which is equivalent to 1000 ppm.
