Detection of gliosis in the retina

Hello, i am doing new experiment based on gliosis induced by kainic acid intraperitonial injection and collect eye samples from the eye. I want to know how to confirm that gliosis happened in the retina and cornea, just I want to confirm so that I can go on to next step of my work please if anyone have idea about that kindly reply. Thanks

Retinal gliosis is seen as the inner layers being replaced by spindle shaped glial cells. This can be seen on H&E and IHC with GFAP, NSE, and S-100.
