Metabolic alkalosis post anesthesia

In what proportion of small animals’ metabolic alkalosis do you commonly post anesthesia?

Daniel Post-anesthetic metabolic alkalosis is not common in small animals (dogs, cats, rodents), and when it occurs, it’s usually due to specific iatrogenic factors rather than the anesthesia itself. While there’s no universal numeric proportion published for how often this occurs across all small animals, metabolic alkalosis is significantly less frequent than respiratory acidosis or metabolic acidosis in the post-anesthesia period.
