Membrane bound Proteins

Hi, Does anyone know a convenient way to identify genes encoding for membrane bound proteins given a list of hundreds of genes?

Thanks

Sachin

All membrane bound proteins have a membrane spanning domain that is having alpha helical structure and also has hydrophobic AA embedded which can be used to predict structure of these proteins. The same principle can also be applied on gene screening because codons are fixed. You can try UniProt Knowledgebase or Expasy for finding such tools.
